Journal of Economics and Development (JED) is an international peer-reviewed journal addressing the issues of economics, business and management. JED is published by
Emerald Publishing Services on behalf of National Economics University, who owns the title. Before 2021, JED published 2 issues a year in June and December. From 2021 onwards, JED publishes 3 issues a year, in April, August and December.
The Journal of Economics and Development operates a double-blind peer review model. All articles undergo an initial assessment by the journal editor. If they are considered suitable for peer review, articles will then be a reviewed by a minimum of two external reviewers to assess its suitability for publication. The final responsibility for editorial decisions rests with the journal editor.
JED is edited by an international board of editors and associate editors. This ensures access to prestigious referees and thus guarantees a high intellectual standard of published research. Editors are committed to making prompt and fair publication decisions on all submissions.
All articles published in JED are published Open Access under a CC BY 4.0 licence. From 2019, all issues of the JED are published by
Emerald Publishing on behalf of the National Economics University. JED is published under a platinum OA agreement, in which all charges for publishing an OA article in JED are to be covered by the National Economics University. There is no charge to the author.
